Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment method that addresses the patient's mind, body, and spirit! Hair-thin filiform needles are used to stimulate points on the body. Energy blockages are removed that might be manifesting physically and/or emotionally. This virtually painless method of treatment activates the parasympathetic nervous system. With balance restored, your body can rest, regenerate, and heal.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping

You may have seen the purple or red marks left by cupping therapy! Cupping pulls up the fascia and releases tension on the joints by creating suction, which allows old stagnant blood to rise to the surface. This allows new blood to flow freely to these areas and help flush out those old injuries. Cupping is great for aches and pains, sinus congestion, and migraine headaches. It reduces inflammation and muscle constriction as well.

Guasha

Guasha means "scraping" in Chinese pinyin. It is a technique that has a similar therapeutic action as cupping by allowing the free flow of blood. A guasha tool is pressed along the skin and muscles, ushering in fresh healing blood to rejuvenate tissue and alleviate pain!

Moxibustion

Moxa is a traditional herb that has great healing benefits! Moxa can be burned on acupuncture points to emphasize it’s action. It provides warmth and promotes circulation and blood flow. It is used in the treatment of inflammation, swelling, and constriction that causes pain. Moxibustion can be used alone or in conjunction with acupuncture, based on diagnosis.

Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture requires specialized training by Michelle Gellis addressing facial anatomy and neurology. By creating a micro trauma, cosmetic acupuncture not only helps collagen growth and reduce wrinkles, it addresses many issues of the face and head. Intradermal needles are used to lift facial muscles and stimulate nerves, along with Cupping and Guasha. In addition to the rejuvenation of micro needling to help you look years younger, facial acupuncture can address a myriad of other neuromuscular facial conditions including Bell's palsy, migraines, TMJ, Trigeminal Neuralgia, and ptosis.

We use high quality, all natural medicinal herbs to form a powder or tea that corresponds to you!

*Please note that I work in conjunction with your primary care provider and Western diagnostics to ensure a proper partnership in medical care!

Energy Healing

Acupuncture is an energy medicine. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is believed that emotion is the root cause of disease. To support patients in healing the energetics of mind, body, and spirit, other energy modalities can be incorporated into treatment if desired. These include the use of Reiki, crystals, aromatherapy, and sound healing to optimally balance the energetic biome.

Card Readings

Archetypes, like the Five Elements in Toaist tradition, help create a better understanding of ourselves and those around us. Card readings can be added to your treatment to supplement emotional support, and create a vision of our best selves. Using either tarot or oracle cards, the interpretation of messages of our higher selves help create perspective or clarity for anything that might be weighing heavily on our minds.
